El 1987 obté una beca per la realització del guió Barcelona Lament, llargmetratge que roda el 1989, i amb el que obté l'any 1991 el premi "Sant Jordi" a l'òpera prima.
El 1991 realitza el curtmetratge Miniaturas, i el 2005 finalitza el llargmetratge Transeúntes, pel·lícula que ha trigat prop de deu anys en finalitzar. Actualment és un reputat professor de llenguatge cinematogràfic al Centre d'Estudis Cinematogràfics de Catalunya (CECC).
